March 4, 2020 2:45 PM |

Central India rains

During the last 24 hours, North Chhattisgarh, and a few places in North Madhya Pradesh have experienced scattered rain and thundershowers with strong gusty winds. While isolated rain was also observed in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.

At present, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Northwest Madhya Pradesh. This system is likely to merge with a confluence zone that is extending from East India across Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, and the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra.

Due to the presence of all the above-mentioned weather systems, rain and thundershower would continue today in many parts of Chattisgarh. These rains will continue during the next 24 hours. Some places in East Madhya Pradesh may also observe rain and thundershowers.

While, isolated rain associated with hailstorm activities may occur in the Vidarbha region, Northeast and South Madhya Pradesh.

The moist winds from the Arabian sea will continue to feed moisture in the Gujarat region. Also, a trough is extending from induced Cyclonic Circulation up to the Kutch region. Thus, a few places in the Gujarat region can observe light rain and thundershowers in the next 24 hours. Thereafter, the rainfall activities will subside

On the other hand, whether in the Coastal parts of Maharashtra will continue to remain dry with a few clouds. While comfortable weather will persist in Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. But, the northern parts of North Konkan may observe rain on March 6.
