Chilly mornings to take a backseat in Rajasthan

November 19, 2016 12:22 PM |

Chilly mornings to take a backseat in RajasthanWintry nights have begun to make their presence marked in several parts of Rajasthan. So much so that several parts in the state have been observing minimums in single digits as well. In fact, on November 19, the minimum temperature in Sri Ganganagar stood at 7.2 degrees which happens to be a few notches below the normal levels.

Not only this, Churu in Rajasthan had also observed minimums in single digit a few days ago. These weather conditions can be attributed to the northerly winds which have been blowing over the region. In fact, other cities including Bikaner and Jaipur have also recorded below normal temperatures.

Thus, dry and cold northerly winds have been only resulting in the fall of minimums over some parts of Western and North Rajasthan. Rajasthan, being a desert state usually observes chilly nights. However, weather conditions are expected to witness some change in the coming days.

A fresh Western Disturbance is approaching the hills of North India during the next 24 hours. Due to this, temperatures are expected to witness a rise by at least two to three degrees and will once again begin to settle above the normal levels. Thus, residents will observe some relief from the prevailing weather conditions.

The relief, however will be short lived and temperatures will once again begin to drop around November 25 and 26 as dry and ice cold northerly winds will once again drop the minimums significantly.
