After rain and snow in the hills and the plains, weather in North India could again become dry and cold for the next two days. TheWestern Disturbanceover Jammu & Kashmir will move out of the region in a northeast direction, reducing rain and snow in the hills of Jammu & Kashmir during the next 24 hours. Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will still observe some rain and snow.
Clouds associated with the Western Disturbance will be absent from the plains and the clear skies will help day temperatures rise. Maximum temperatures that were hovering around 15 degrees, both in the plains and the hills will now rise at many places to become normal in the next two days.
Theweather in Delhiwill become cooler during the night but day temperatures will rise. Delhi recorded 12.5 degrees as minimum temperature on Monday morning but with the setting in of the northwesterly winds, the temperature could fall by 2 to 3 degrees. On the other hand, the daytemperature in Delhirecorded on Sunday was 17.4 degrees which is likely to increase in the coming two days.
Fog in Delhi and parts of northwest plains will improve compared to what we had experienced last week. But the possibility of dense fog in some pockets cannot be ruled out during the next two days.
