Delhi rains cause waterlogging, traffic woes, situation to improveDelhiites simply love the rains and begin to crave for that much awaited Monsoon season the moment the scorching summer heat makes an entrance. However, too much of everything spoils the fun and that’s what has been happening with rains in Delhi.

While the residents had been reeling under hot and humid conditions, rains have made things worse as several areas have become waterlogged. Delhi has been receiving rain for quite some time. However, the notorious Delhi Rains began on Friday and since then have been lashing the national capital.

Good rains were recorded on Saturday wreaking havoc on the traffic situation. While the city did not receive heavy rainfall yesterday, short spells were observed during the morning hours today. Due to this, waterlogging continues over many areas even now.

However, now conditions are expected to improve as the axis of Monsoon trough which was giving rain over Delhi has shifted northwards. Thus, during the next 24 hours, only light patchy rainfall is expected over some parts of the national capital.

Thereafter, weather will clear up and humid and sunny conditions will make a comeback once again. However, the national capital may witness another wet spell around the weekend which is on July 22 paving way for rainy weather.
