Delhi to see relief from heatwave, thunderstorm and dust storm likely

Heatwave conditions have once again made a comeback over Delhi and the NCR region where in maximum temperature over most parts of Delhi have been observed to be recorded above the 45° mark.

Today, the maximum has been recorded at 45.5 degrees in Jafarpur (5° above normal), Mungeshpur 46.3 degrees (6° above normal), Najafrgarh 46.3 degrees (5° above normal), Palam 44.2 degrees (4° above normal), Safdarjung 43.6 degrees (3° above normal).

However, some respite is expected wherein some thunderstorm and dust storm is expected over Delhi and the NCR region today and tomorrow. Squally winds, lightning etc. may be seen during the late evening hours including Noida, Faridabad, Gurugram etc.

By May 22, Pre Monsoon rain may become slightly intense over Delhi and the NCR region and continue until May 24. Thus, temperatures may witness a significant drop over the entire Delhi NCR.
