Maximum temperature has crossed 30 degrees over most parts of Gujarat and will continue to remain in lower thirties to mid-thirties during the week. The minimum temperature is also in double digits now over most places. Isolated pockets of Gujarat are experiencing single digit minimums.
Month of February is almost dry for Gujarat. Average rainfall over most of the districts is very low. In fact, rain average between October and May over most of the places in Gujarat remains in single digit. We do not expect any weather activity over the state in coming days.
An anti-cyclone is expected to develop over southwest Rajasthan and dry winds to continue over Gujarat. Second half of February may witness maximum temperature over many parts of the state to climb up in higher thirties. Therefore, we can say that comfortable weather conditions will continue over the state for another one week and there after transition between winter and summer will commence.
