Fog in Delhi and North India reported in pockets

As has been reiterated by Skymet, fog in Delhi/NCR was dense in pockets and shallow in most parts including Dwarka, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida Expressway, Laxmi Nagar, Vasant Kunj and Vikas Puri. The minimum temperature has shown marginal change settling at around 9°C in the national capital.

Flight operations came to a standstill last night as general visibility remained zero from 2.30 a.m. till 5.30 a.m. at the Palam airport. The situation gradually improved to 100 meters at 6 in the morning. Till 7 a.m. 16 flights have been delayed and 4 cancelled. Most international flights were delayed by more than an hour.

Fog in North India, East India

Fog in North India has been widespread with zero visibility observed in many places including Amritsar and Chandigarh in Punjab. In Uttar Pradesh, fog in Lucknow cleared up to a large extent and visibility recorded here was almost a kilometre. However, the general visibility in Allahabad remained nil today morning. Patna and Gaya in Bihar also witnessed very dense fog with visibility less than 100 meters.
