Since last many days, a Cyclonic circulation has been persisting over Gujarat, due to this, humid winds from Arabian Sea are increasing moisture. Moreover, a wind sheer zone is extending from South Gujarat to Odisha and an off shore trough is also extending from South Gujarat to Kerala.

We expect, good rains to continue over Gujarat until September 9. During this time, many districts of Gujarat will observe moderate to heavy rains.

The intensity of rains will be more initially over South Gujarat. Thereafter, fairly widespread rains are expected. However, Bhuj, Naliya, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha. Mehsana, and Patan may see comparatively lesser rains.
