Heatwave conditions work prevailing in isolated pockets of Gujarat, but now, many parts of Gujarat have come under heatwave conditions. The maximum temperatures of many parts of Gujarat are above normal by 3 to 9 degrees. Ahmedabad, Amreli, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, and Bhuj have recorded 3 degrees above normal maximums.
Heatwave conditions are prevailing over Kandla. Kandla has recorded a maximum of 43.8 degrees, which is 9 degrees above normal. The maximum of Naliya and Porbandar is 6 degrees above normal. Rajkot has recorded 43.3 degrees which are above normal by 5 degrees. Similarly, Surat has also recorded a maximum of 5 degrees above normal.
Most parts of Vidarbha, South Madhya Pradesh, south and west Rajasthan have recorded maximum temperatures of 40 degrees. Isolated pockets of South Madhya Pradesh such as Hoshangabad have already come under heatwave conditions.
Now we expect heatwave conditions to extend in parts of southwest Madhya Pradesh and parts of Vidarbha during next 2 to 3 days. We can say that Central and western parts of the country are going to heat up significantly.
