Heavy downpour over many parts of Mumbai and Suburbs, rainy week ahead for Mumbai

Last night, many parts of South Mumbai received heavy downpour. Some localities have received more than hundred mm of rain. Most affected areas were Navy Nagar, Colaba, Kalbadevi, Dadar, Mahim, Matunga, Sion, Mahalaxmi Lalbagh, and Worli.

Adjoining eastern and northern suburbs recorded light patchy rains.

At present a cyclonic circulation is seen over North Konkan and Goa, this cyclonic circulation will gradually shift northward over South Gujarat.

Rain intensity is expected to increase our many parts of Mumbai in the coming days. We expect heavy to very heavy rains between July 3 and 5. But moderate to heavy showers are expected to continue until July 6 or 7 with short breaks in between.

Next one week is going to be rainy for Mumbai.
