Since the onset of the Monsoon, Mumbai has not particularly seen heavy rains making an appearance over the city. Typical Mumbai rains have been far away from the commercial capital of the country.
However, starting on June 20th, Mumbai rains are all set to be back with a bang. Heavy rainfall activity is expected to be seen. Moreover, these showers will stay for at least 4-5 days.
In fact, rainfall activity will peak on June 21 and then again on June 24 and 25. During this time, three-digit rains look quite likely to cause commute issues, traffic snarls, water logging and inundation along with air traffic diversions as well as delays.
These rains peaking during the mid-week will cause a bigger issue to office goers as well as students. So far, the city of Mumbai has hardly had the real flavour of Monsoon and this time it seems like that is to be seen very shortly.
Mumbaikars are to exercise caution and gear up for some very heavy to extremely heavy rains making their way.
