After the arrival of Monsoon, Mumbai rains have continued over the city. So much so that the last 24 hours saw some 91 mm of rains and as per weathermen, more showers are expected in the coming days as well.
Moreover, rainfall is all set to increase and some heavy showers will be seen as the low pressure will move towards Madhya Pradesh and spend some time over this region.
Thus, the monsoon surge will accentuate over Mumbai. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected to be seen between today and June 30. The city has already exceeded 300 mm and will surpass its monthly mean due to heavy rains. Traffic jams, water logging, flooding in low lying areas is expected. Thereafter, there might be some reduction but rains will not cease.
