A Cyclonic Circulation is over Vidarbha and adjoining Marathwada which will come closer to northern parts of Madhya Maharashtra and touch Gujarat. Along with this, the offshore trough will also be active over the coastal Gujarat region. This will increase rains over Gujarat and we can expect some heavy showers.
Coastal Gujarat may see rains today including Surat, Valsad and Vapi. Tomorrow, rains may slightly pick up over other parts. The day after tomorrow, heavy to very heavy rains may be seen over many parts of Gujarat including Surat, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad etc. These showers may be seen on July 7 and 8. Even Saurasahtra will see rain but not very heavy.
Thus, both central and coastal parts of Gujarat may be seeing rains on July 7 and 8, being heavy to very heavy in pockets. Thereafter, rains will reduce from the state.
