September 1, 2015 12:01 PM |

modi-ptiPrime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold election rally in silk-town Bhagalpur on Tuesday afternoon amidst hot and humid weather conditions. Prime Minister would be addressing fourth 'parivartan rally' in the poll bound state of Bihar, where he is expected to announce development programmes for the Bhagalpur district.

According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, weather will not play a spoilsport at the event but chances of passing showers cannot be ruled out. District will be witnessing cloudy to partly cloudy sky on account of the cyclonic circulation prevailing over the region. Moreover, Monsoon trough is also passing through the state. However, significant rain is not expected.

Modi had earlier visited Ara and Saharsa districts of Bihar on August 18, where he had announced a package of Rs 1.65 lakh crore.
As Bihar prepares for Assembly polls later in October and November, scores of development programmes have been announced and initiated.

One such programme is government's flagship road building programme, National Highways Development Project - III, under which it has recognized 1015 kms of National Highways for upgradation to Super Highways. This is under Build, Operate and Transfer Scheme that is also providing additional corridors to Nepal and Assam.

Reportedly, a four-lane high speed corridor is under construction by National Highways Authority of India.
