Hyderabad rains drop mercury, more showers ahead

The city of Hyderabad had been witnessing dry weather conditions for the past few days. Moreover, due to the persisting dry weather conditions, maximums had also been settling way above the normal levels. In fact, a day before the maximum was settling at 37.7 degrees, which happens to be about two degrees above the normal levels.

However, rain gods decided to send some good news to the residents of the Biryani City as light rains made an appearance yesterday. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Hyderabad recorded traces of rain.

Clouding had been persisting since the morning hours due to which minimum temperature remained arrested and could not rise much. Thus, the minimum dropped to 34.8 degrees Celsius, which is in the normal range.

These rains were attributed to the trough which is extending from south Chhattisgarh up to Interior Tamil Nadu across Telangana.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, weather conditions are expected to remain cloudy over the city of Hyderabad today as well. Light rainfall activity is likely over the city today with a couple of moderate spells as well.

Tomorrow, rains are expected to witness a reduction and only isolated places may record very light rain. Weather conditions are expected to clear up thereafter and temperatures will gradually begin to witness a rise once again.
