Skymet raises Series C round from The InsuResilience Investment FundIndia has been battling dry weather conditions during most parts of December, be it Monsoon rains in Peninsular India or winter rains in North India.

Had it been the scenario of the absence of weather systems, we would have got a clearer reason behind the no rain activity. But in spite of multiple weather systems prevailing over several parts of the country, weather of the entire country has been dry, particularly since last two days.

Although isolated rains occurred over Andaman and Nicobar Islands but the weather of mainland remained absolutely dry.

At present, there is a Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir which is moving away. A cyclonic circulation is seen over Mizoram, while another circulation is marked over Southwest Bay of Bengal. In addition to this, a low-pressure area is also prevailing over Southeast Bay of Bengal.

According to Skymet Weather, these weather systems are feeble in nature and are not capable enough of giving any significant rains over the country for next few days, to be precise for the next two days.

The low-pressure area may give scattered rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands but it will also soon move away in a northwest direction. Thus, rains would also reduce over these islands. The system would track in Central Bay of Bengal but it is not likely to affect East Coast of the country.

Northeast Monsoon also remains subdued and would not induce any rains over southern states of the country. In fact, we can say that Northeast Monsoon remained week throughout the month of December, except on December 1-2 wherein Cyclone Ockhi gave good rains over many parts of South India.

In wake of this, the country would continue to witness dry weather in coming days as well.
