Accordng to Skymet Weather, the weather conditions over Kolkata is not favorable for good rains. This could be due to the cyclonic circulation or trough over East India but it will concentrate weather activity over Bihar and Odisha.

However, pre-Monsoon activity is likely to commence again over Kolkata by the weekend, but then also rainfall will be in patches and no heavy showers are foreseen.
