Light rain may affect Bengaluru todayThe weather of Bengaluru has been warmer than usual for the past few days. In fact, yesterday, the maximum reached 36 degrees which happened to be the highest of the season. The day before as well, the city was witnessing a high maximum at 35 degrees.

However, as per weathermen at Skymet, light rainfall may pay a visit to Bengaluru during the late afternoon hours today. This spell of rainfall will be attributed to the presence of a trough which is running from North West Bengal’s cyclonic circulation to Interior Tamil Nadu across Interior Odisha, Telangana as well as Rayalaseema.

Due to this, cloud development may take place during the late afternoon or evening hours. However, these rains are expected to be isolated in nature and only a few areas of the garden city will witness rainfall activity. The rainfall activity will be confined to today only and weather will clear up from tomorrow.

The month of March overall has been good for Bengaluru. So far, the city has been able to receive 48 mm of rain which includes a heavy rainy spell of 37 mm on March 7. Usually, Bengaluru witnesses 18.5 mm of rainfall in March.

In the coming days, weather conditions will remain hot with temperatures remaining on the higher side.
