Most places of Western Himalayas right from Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir Himachal and Uttarakhand may witness good rain and snow during next week. This will be the second active spell of rain and snow during January.
Back-to-back Western disturbances will be approaching Western Himalayas during next one week. Light snowfall with one or two moderate spells is expected over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh until January 24. Intensity and spread may increase from January 25th and will cover many parts of Uttarakhand and Ladakh as well. These weather activities are expected to continue until the end of January. This maybe the heaviest and longest spell of rain and snow over Hills.
Scattered rain may commence over northern plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan from January 24th. Bihar and parts of Jharkhand may start receiving rain from January 27 or 28.
Weather of south Rajasthan south Madhya Pradesh will remain dry throughout the week.
