Gujarat has not received any rainfall since last many days and weather has remained absolutely dry. Now, day and night temperatures were on decrease since Jan 12 onward. Today also, minimum temperatures of Gujarat saw a marginal drop but since yesterday maximum temperatures have been on an increase.
Earlier, winds were blowing from the north, which were instrumental in dropping the temperatures, now, winds will change direction due to the formation of a Cyclonic Circulation over Central Pakistan and Rajasthan.
Thus, for the next 24 hours, there may be a marginal drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures.
However, day after tomorrow, southeasterly and southwesterly winds will start blowing over most parts of Gujarat. There will be gradual increase in both maximum and minimum temperatures. However, increase in minimum temperatures will be more prominent by 2 to 4 degrees in the next three to four days.
When the induced cyclonic circulation will form over Central Pakistan and Rajasthan between Jan 21 and 23, weather is expected to become partly cloudy to cloudy over many parts of Gujarat. Isolated light rains are likely over parts of Kutch and western districts of Gujarat.
Minimum temperatures will be quite high and above normal while a slight increase will be seen in maximums.
