As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation persists over North Bay of Bengal and a trough is extending from Assam to the Cyclonic Circulation. Due to this weather system prevailing across Kolkata we expect light to moderate showers to continue for another 24 hours. Thereafter the intensity of rain may reduce for the next two to three days from June 25-27.

As the monsoon has already reached the city of joy, therefore, isolated rain activities cannot be ruled out. Though the nature of rain will remain like pre-Monsoon showers, which means that the rains will be accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds.
