The states of Karnataka as well as Kerala have been seeing some good rains and the last 24 hours also saw some showers. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Bengaluru recorded 29 mm of rains, Gulbarga 14 mm, Karipur 14 mm, Kottayam 5 mm, Alappuzha 4 mm
In the next three days, i.e. between October 19 and 21, some moderate rains will be seen with one odd heavier spells as well. Good showers will be seen in many parts of the state of Kerala as well as Karnataka.
A Couple of features are responsible for rains including a Cyclonic Circulation is over Southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining regions off Kerala Coast. Another system is also in the Bay of Bengal. Joining two systems is the troughline which will further enhance the rains.
More rains will be seen over South Interior Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka while North Interior Karnataka may see reduction in rains from October 20.
