Mumbai Rains: After record breaking showers, city receives 30 times less rains

Mumbai rains had caused all the chaos that they could during the havoc wreaking situation. The city was almost submerged making it look like a big lake. Waterlogging, traffic woes and the need for boats were few of the many hardships that Mumbaikars had been witnessing.

A day before, Mumbai had recorded a whopping 331 mm of rain breaking a record of at least two decades. However, since the early morning hours of yesterday, the city of Mumbai heaved a sigh of relief as rains did take a backseat.

While the city did record about 6 mm of rain between 8:30 am and 11:30 am yesterday, after that, Mumbai recorded a mere 3 mm of rains. Thus, in the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, both Santa Cruz as well as Colaba observatory recorded 9 mm of rainfall, each.

So, as compared to a day before, the city has received around 30 times less rains yesterday. Now, these showers will continue to be on the lower side.

In fact, during the next 24 hours, Mumbai and its adjoining areas will only witness scattered light rains which will help the city further in getting back on track. In fact, heavy showers are not foreseen for quite some time.
