The city of Mumbai has been seeing decent rains for the past few days. In fact, in the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Santa Cruz recorded 51 mm of rains.
In fact, so far, the city of Mumbai has recorded a good 476.9 mm of rainfall against the monthly average of 383.5 mm.
Now, we expect Mumbai rains to continue for the next 48 hours or so. During this time, moderate showers will be seen, isolated heavy spells cannot be ruled out. By October 2, rains will start to reduce and thereafter, rainfall will cease from Mumbai, making this probably the last Monsoon spell of 2023
These showers are attributed to the weather system in the Arabian Sea off Konkan coast, which has intensified into a Low Pressure Area, which will continue to give rains for a couple of more days.
