North India to see increase in maximums, loo conditions likely

June 2, 2022 10:00 AM |

Pre-monsoon rains have made an appearance over many parts of Northwest India during the last few days. However, now these rainfall activities are expected to take a backseat and heat will now take over north India.

The western disturbance which was there over the hills is now moving away. It resulted in some rainfall over the foothills and parts of Delhi NCR as well. After another 24 hours, the activity over the foothills will also vanish. Gradually, the temperature is expected to rise as sky will remain clear, the sun will be bright and rainfall activity will remain far away.

No Pre Monsoon activity is expected in the coming days. Moreover, wind speed will increase over parts of North India including the national capital, due to which loo conditions will be seen.

Temperatures are expected to be seen on the rise, in fact, winds are expected to become gusty around Delhi and the NCR region around June 4, which will further increase maximums. Most parts of North India will see maximum temperatures above 40° and some of these areas can even see the maximum reaching around 44 and 45°.
