Northwest India including Delhi to receive rain and thundershowers

The weather of Northwest India remained almost dry for the last few days. Is scattered rain was witnessed over many parts of Rajasthan at during the last 24 hours. The weather of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and western parts of Uttar Pradesh remained dry. An active Western Disturbance has approached Western Himalayas and it has induced a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab.

Light to moderate rain and thundershower activities with one or two intense spells are possible over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, parts of Rajasthan, Western districts of Uttar Pradesh as well as parts of north Madhya Pradesh today on January 29.

Rain intensity may reduce tomorrow on January 30. But parts of Punjab, East Haryana, Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh, Eastern district of Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh may continue to get light rainfall.

Hailstorm is possible over parts of Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan on January 29. Weather will clear up from entire Northwest India from January 31. Minimum temperatures are expected to start dropping over Western parts of Punjab, Haryana and northwest and West Rajasthan from January 30.

Remaining parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and western parts of Uttar Pradesh will witness drop in minimum from January 31st. We do not expect cold wave to make a comeback over Delhi or Uttar Pradesh but isolated pockets of Rajasthan and Haryana may witness cold wave during first week of February.
