Perfect weather for a trip to Manali, Shimla, Nainital and Mussoorie

The Western Himalayas had been receiving moderate to heavy rainfall across the region. A Western Disturbance was persisting over the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

The weather system had lashed the popular hill stations like Srinagar, Manali, Shimla, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Nainital, and Mussoorie. Heavy rains were witnessed many across the high altitude regions, while, the lower altitude regions like Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Haridwar received scattered light rains.

The heavy rains had caused damage at a few places as well. So far, Landslides occurred at Kedarnath, Badrinath and Manali highway routes. While the other hill stations faced waterlogging and heavy traffic situations. The past one week seemed unfavorable for the tourists.

As per Skymet Weather, the Western Disturbance is now moving away eastwards which was prevailing over Himachal Pradesh. Though light rains are likely to continue at few places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next 24 hours.

It’s the best time to head towards the hills for an enjoyable stay in the lap of nature. So plan your trips and pack your bags for some adventure as the hills are calling. Weather is also expected to become dry and sunny in the coming weekend while the temperatures will be in lower 20’s during the day and nights will be cool. Obstructions like water logging, heavy traffic jams, and landslides will evade.
