Hills Article

The hills of the country witnessed good amount of rainfall this year, especially activity was vigorous in the last few days. As of now, the weather seems to be dry with clear sunshine.

According to Skymet Weather, no Monsoon activity can be foreseen in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the next few days.

From September 22 to September 24, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand received moderate to heavy rains with few extremely heavy spells. All this was due to interaction of low pressure area over Haryana and the Western disturbance which was over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

The dramatic weather in the hills has now come to a standstill, thereby people in the hills will experience good sunshine and the minimums will be around 8-14-degree Celsius and the maximums will be somewhere between 21- 26-degree Celsius.

Now, a fresh feeble Western Disturbance is seen over northern parts of Afghanistan which seems to travel towards Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand.

People who have put their visit to dhams like Kedarnath, Badrinath and hills like Shimla, Dehradun  on a halt can once again resume the same. However, they are advised to gather information before making a move because the infrastructure got affected during the time of heavy rains.
