Rain In Madhya PradeshThe states of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh have been witnessing on and off rains throughout the season. There have been a few days when rains have not been seen, however, at other times, rains have been present over the region. Now, a fresh spell of rain is all set to make an appearance.

This would also mark the beginning of pre-Monsoon season over the state. Although the season commence officially in March, but this time, no significant activities such as dust storm, thunderstorm or lightning strikes have been seen.

According to Skymet Weather, fresh Western Disturbance is likely to approach the Western Himalayan region, with its induced Cyclonic Circulation over West Rajasthan and a trough extending up to North Madhya Pradesh. All these systems would increase moisture content in the atmosphere across northwestern plains adjoining areas of Central India.

Thus, light rain and dust storm are expected over North and Northeast Madhya Pradesh during the next two to three days. Cities of Gwalior, Morena, Datia, Khajuraho, Tikamgarh may get affected. Isolated rains are expected to occur over North Chhattisgarh on April 6, 7 and 8.

However, these weather activities would occur during the latter part of the day. During this time of the year, heat is the major trigger. Day temperatures peak during the afternoon hours, which when combined with the increased moisture leads to the development of convective clouds. This finally results in either rains, thunderstorm, dust storm or thundershowers.

Dry weather is expected to be observed thereafter. Usually, dust storm does not occur over northern parts of Madhya Pradesh.
