The city of Pune, which has been witnessing dry weather conditions for a while now is expected to see rains around April 7, 8 and 9. For the past few days, the city has remained dry and only trace of rains was seen on April 4, before that rainfall remained far away from Pune.
For now, temperatures have gradually been rising, with maximum at 37 degrees yesterday and even today. The reason for these rains can be attributed to the extension of the Peninsular trough across Karnataka up to Madhya Maharashtra region. A convergence zone of north and south winds have also formed, which will further enhance the rains. High temperatures will also act as a trigger for some convective activity.
Thus, thundershwoers may be seen over the city of Pune in the coming days between April 7 and 9.
