Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi will witness dry and comfortable weather

February 5, 2023 2:26 PM |

The month of February commenced with dry weather and gradually increasing temperatures. The maximum temperature of most places in these states is in mid-twenties and minimum temperatures are between 9 and 12 degrees. Chances of any significant weather activity are very slim.

We do not expect widespread dense fog over northern plains. However, there may be dense fog in isolated pockets during the morning hours. As the dry northwesterly winds are blowing across these states, therefore, intensity and duration of fog will be short lived.

We do not expect temperatures to reach 30-degree mark until first half of February. Minimum temperature will be mostly in double digit. Although February is not one of the driest months but in the absence of any significant weather system, we do not expect any rain activity during first half of February.

Rainfall during month of January and February occurs mostly due to the formation of an induced cyclonic circulation in the wake of an intense Western disturbance. Two successive Western Disturbance is expected to approach Western Himalayas. First one will be between February 5th and 6th and second one will be between February 9 and 11. But these western disturbances are not strong enough to induce any over northern plains.

The weather will remain warm and sunny however morning and night how will be cool and comfortable
