The state of Gujarat is not experiencing rains since the last few days. However, during the last 24 hours eastern parts of Gujarat experienced light rainfall activity over isolated places. Meanwhile, Saurashtra and Kutch region experienced dry and very warm weather with rising temperatures.

Even after the recent rain activities over the state, the state’s cumulative rain deficiency still continues to be at 27%. The receding Monsoon doesn’t give much hopes herein after for the figures to improve.

However, the presence of Depression over Southwest parts of the state of Madhya Pradesh is expected to bring in moderate rainfall activity over eastern parts of Gujarat in the next 24 hours. After which, a significant fall in temperatures will be experienced over the most parts of the state.

During the next 24 hours the surface winds are likely to be of moderate intensity. As the above system of Depression is weakening and moving in the west-northwest direction over to the state of Rajasthan.

The rainfall intensity would be decreasing after 24 hours. Thereafter clouds and surface winds will decrease marginally. The day temperatures however will keep rising giving way to more warm and dry weather statewide for the days to come.
