Now, due to the off-shore trough extending from South Gujarat Coast to Kerala Coast and the northwesterly winds that are becoming westerlies over the South Coast, we expect rainfall activity to increase over southern parts of Gujarat.

Places like Mahuva, Surat, Valsad and Junagadh are expected to receive moderate spells. Along with this, moderate to strong winds are expected along the coastal areas of the region.

Further, we can also say that Southwest Monsoon is likely to reach up to parts of South Coastal Gujarat anytime soon as rains are likely to increase over the region. However, the core monsoon months for the entire state of Gujarat are July as well as August wherein most amount of rainfall is recorded.

Moreover, a trough is seen extending from Central Pakistan to Kutch. Due to which, partly cloudy to cloudy sky is expected over Kutch region. Meanwhile, weather will remain mostly hot over this area.

Porbandar and Rajkot areas will remain warm and humid with chances of light rain and thundershower activities. Rain and thundershowers are also expected over the eastern parts of the state.

The day temperatures are also likely to drop over the southern parts. But will remain hot over Kutch region.
