The state of Madhya Pradesh has observed a major relief from dry and hot weather conditions during the last 24 hours. Isolated places of the state have recorded scattered light rains and thundershower activities. The major reason for these conditions can be attributed to an upper air trough, extending from eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh up to North Interior Karnataka across East Madhya Pradesh.

On the other hand, the state of Chhattisgarh has continued to reel under very warm and humid weather.

However, the one thing which is common between both the states is the blow of moist winds over their eastern parts. Hence, we expect, these winds to bring along spell of rain and thundershower activities at scattered places of both the states.

Places like Rewa, Sidhi, Shahdol, Naupura, Jagdalpur, Durg, Raipur, Korea, Pandra road will experience rain and thundershowers of varying intensity during the next three to four days.

According to Skymet Weather, barring eastern parts of both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, others will continue to experience dry and hot winds from northwest directions. Thus, places like Gwalior, Morena, Burhanpur, Bhopal, Indore, Guna, Vidisha, Shivpur and Khargone will reel under dry weather along with heat wave conditions for next three days.

However, relief over these places is expected around June 5, when the spell of dust storm and strong winds will commence.
