The state of Tamil Nadu has been seeing on and off rains though nothing significant has been seen. Though the Southwest Monsoon is nearing, conditions remain weaker and rainfall will in no way be heavier over these areas in the coming days. Tamil Nadu for the Southwest Monsoon as it is a rain shadow area and rains are more over the region during the Northeast Monsoon.
Anyway, for the next 4-5 days light rains is likely to be seen over the state of Tamil Nadu. In fact, scattered light rains right from the southern part of the state to the northern areas. In fact, even the interiors of the state may also may see some rains.
Moreover, the interior parts of the state can have some moderate showers as well. Kodaikanal saw 28 mm of rains in the past few days.
