During the last 24 hours, the northern parts of Chhattisgarh have received light rain and thundershower activities at isolated places. Meanwhile, the weather in the central and southern parts of Chhattisgarh remained almost dry. The day was warm and night was pleasant.
These weather conditions in the northern parts of Chhattisgarh were seen due to the presence of a cyclonic circulation over the northern parts of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining parts of South Chhattisgarh.
At present, in association with the above-mentioned system, a wind confluence zone is developing that is extending from North Bihar to Maharashtra across the eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh. Simultaneously, an anti-cyclonic circulation is over the north Bay of Bengal. This anti-cyclonic circulation has been feeding moisture from the Bay of Bengal over the state of Chhattisgarh.
Therefore, under the influence of all the above-mentioned weather systems, we expect light to moderate rain and thundershowers with strong gusty winds at many places in the state of Chhattisgarh. The northern parts of Chhattisgarh are likely to see moderate rain and thunderstorm activities, with few heavy showers along with hailstorm activities.
Places like Ambikapur, Manendragarh, Surguja, Raipur, Raigarh, and Durg are expected to observe these weather conditions. As per the weathermen, such weather activities will continue in the state of Chhattisgarh for the next two to three days.
The maximum temperatures will drop due to clouding and precipitation, while the minimums will rise on account of rise in humidity.
