Tamil Nadu and Kerala will continue to receive light rain during the next two days as northeasterly winds will keep feeding moisture to the region from the Bay of Bengal. Due to rain, the day temperatures in coastal areas of Tamil Nadu will remain below the average while night will be warm with increase in minimums.
The northeast monsoon rain is expected to remain subdued for the next two days due to lack of a strong surge from the Bay of Bengal.
Meanwhile, rain will decrease in northeast region of the country as moisture will reduce due to change in winds. The northeasterly winds which is about to enter the region will lack the moisture content as they will be coming from land. Day temperatures are expected to rise in the area due to clear skies. Nights on the other hand will be cool owing to dry northeasterly winds.
