Rains to reduce in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand to see more showers

July 11, 2023 6:09 PM |

The hills of north India have recorded some intense rainfall activities during the weekend, resulting in massive chaos across the region. Landslides, flooding, and several other problems due to heavy rains have stalled the hills for a while.

During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Dehradun recorded 79 mm of rains, Shimla 64 mm, Mandi 46 mm, and Una 6 mm.

Conditions have improved in Jammu and Kashmir and are also likely to see a massive improvement in Himachal Pradesh, which was the most affected out of the three hilly states.

On the other hand, the state of Uttarakhand is expected to continue receiving rainfall activity for at least the next two days. Some intense rainfall activities are also expected over the state.

Tourists should refrain from going to the hills in the coming days, as even after such intense rains, water bodies continue to respond.
