The entire state of Rajasthan has been receiving dry weather conditions since the beginning of December. However, during the last 24 hours, this prolonged dry spell came to an end, as some relief in terms of rain and thundershower activities was experienced over the eastern parts of Rajasthan.

In fact, even the pink city, Jaipur managed to receive light rainfall activity, along with many other major cities of Rajasthan such as Ajmer, Tonk, Alwar etc. Meanwhile, most places in West Rajasthan were still witnessing dry weather.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Tuesday, Jaipur 10.1 mm, Tonk 4 mm, Alwar and Sawai Madhopur 2 mm, Sri Ganganagar 0.8 mm and Ajmer 0.6 mm.

The above rains have been attributed to the induced cyclonic circulation over parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. However, as this system is now moving eastwards and clearing up, we do not expect weather activities any further.

Thus, during the next 24 hours, most places in Rajasthan will observe clear sky and sunny days with shallow to moderate fog over some pockets during morning hours.

In fact, the day temperatures which had dropped significantly, will once witness a rising trend. Meanwhile, the night temperatures will be seen dropping gradually, hence making the nights chilly.
