However, now a fresh Western Disturbance is seen over North Afghanistan and adjoining areas. It is expected to start affecting the Western Himalayas by tomorrow evening. Therefore, we expect light scattered rains on night of May 2 over all the three hilly states. Intensity of these rain and thundershower activities is expected to increase on May 3.

Furthermore, another Western Disturbance will be seen approaching. Due to which, on and off rains are expected to continue over all these states till May 6.

Currently, day temperatures of Jammu and Kashmir are above normal by four to six degrees along with this few pockets of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are also experiencing above normal temperatures.

However, due to the commencement of these weather activities, day and night temperatures are expected to fall by 4-5 degrees and may become marginally below normal.

Weather will become pleasant and rain intensity will continue to be normal. No heavy rains will be seen but still chances of landslides cannot be ruled out. All the tourists and residents must take cautions while travelling to these hilly stations.
