Many parts of Maharashtra have been receiving good rain in the last few days. Now, rain activities may reduce over North Madhya Maharashtra and parts of West Vidarbha. However, rain may continue over Marathwada South Madhya Maharashtra and Southern parts of Konkan and Goa.
Mumbai has received a few good spells of rain during the last two to three days. However, now rain activities will be reduced significantly over Mumbai and suburbs. Monthly rain average of many parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai are in the single digits between November and April. As the monsoon sometimes extends up to the initial period of October, therefore few good spells of rain during the first half of October are common over Maharashtra.
This year also, expect the monsoon to withdraw with some delay from Marathwada, South Madhya Maharashtra and South Konkan and Goa. Rain activities will be light to moderate over most parts of Maharashtra except and North Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and North Konkan and Goa. These parts of state will witness almost dry weather conditions.
