The city of Mumbai has not seen any significant rain in the past few days. Moreover, if we do talk about the rest of the days, August has been a below-normal month for the city. In fact, even in the month of July, rainfall activity was only seen during the last few days of the month.
However, after a very long time, the city of Mumbai is all set to see some rainfall activities for about a week or so. These rainfall activities will be starting from September 7th. In fact, September 8th and 9th may see heavy showers. The week-long rainy spell is expected to continue until the 13th.
The system that is forming in the Bay of Bengal will move inland and as it comes over central parts, the Monsoon stream will pick up, the surge will be activated and thus, rains will enhance over Mumbai.
