Weather system on either side of the coastline is likely to keep the monsoon campaign going for the next few days. Monsoon low over Bay of Bengal and cyclonic circulation over Konkan & Goa will trigger active to vigorous monsoon conditions over many parts of central and south India. Rain shadow area of Tamil Nadu may escape the fury of weather. Mumbai, Thane, Surat and Valsad will be vulnerable to heavy downpour, throwing normal life out of gear.

A low pressure is forming over West Central Bay of Bengal, anytime soon. Another complimentary weather system on the left flank is marked as a cyclonic circulation which will blow up the monsoon bursts over Konkan, Goa and South Gujarat.  The duo is joined by a shear line, throwing vigorous monsoon activity across the southern and central parts of the country.

The low pressure is likely to breach the coastline of Andhra Pradesh tomorrow and move inland traversing across South Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Madhya Pradesh. Circulation over Konkan region and Arabian Sea will press the trigger, marching rainstorms, resulting deluge at least on couple of days over the Northern Ghats, South Gujarat and Madhya Maharashtra. The spill over effect will impact parts of Rajasthan later.  On the southern side, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka and parts of Rayalaseema will also witness moderate to strong weather activity.

Mumbai, Thane, Dahanu, Valsad, Vapi, Surat have to watch out for intense weather activity between 10th and 13th Sep 2022. Astronomical high tide of over 4 meter wave height during mid night and afternoon hours for Mumbai and suburbs, can perplex the grim conditions further. On shore splash of sea-water and the backflow may result inundation of low lying areas. Utmost caution need to be exercised for safety of assets, both life and property.
