If we look at the weather conditions region wise, presently the maximum temperatures over Vidarbha and Marathwada have been settling above the normal levels by three to four degrees over most places like Akola registered a maximum of 37.5°C as of today, Gondia 35°C, Nagpur 36.2°C and Wardha 36.5°C.

Further, the weathermen are of the view that dry weather conditions will persist over Vidarbha and Marathwada for the next few days, with no reduction in day temperatures.

The days will continue to remain very warm as temperatures will settle in the higher 30s. Minimum temperatures are also likely to be above normal by two to three degrees. Accordingly, nights are expected to be slightly warm.

An anti-cyclone is persisting over central parts of Bay of Bengal and southeasterly winds from Bay of Bengal, which are relatively warm in nature, are affecting most parts of Marathwada region. So, Skymet Weather expects further increase in minimum temperatures.

With these weather conditions, let’s look at its impact over the agriculture:

Farmers are advised to undertake and complete the harvesting of Wheat and other Rabi crops. Also, they are recommended to begin the harvesting of matured fruits like Orange, Grapes and Pomegranate. Moreover, they should irrigate the summer crop as per the requirement.
