July 29, 2022 2:51 PM |

The state of Bihar has been observing deficit conditions as far as Monsoon rains this year are concerned. In fact, the state is at present seeing a deficiency of around 45 percent.

The last 24 hours saw some light to moderate rains with Patna observing 14 mm of rains, Gaya recorded 13 mm of rains, Darbhanga 8 mm, and Muzaffarpur observed very light showers at 0.6 mm.

More rains are on the cards as the Monsoon Trough is shifting upward now, making conditions favourable for widespread rain over Bihar tomorrow and day after i.e. July 30 to August 1. During this time, light to moderate showers with isolated heavy spells may be seen over many parts of the state of Bihar.

Today, rainfall activity is expected to be very light but tomorrow onward, rains are expected to pick up pace.
