Mokokchung, Nagaland

A 6 hour long journey is required to reach this tribal place of Mokokchung from Kohima. There are tribal places in the country but this one is just enchanting. Mokukchung district in Nagaland will introduce you to some unusual elements that you can’t find anywhere else in India. There are small villages in this district with green hillocks and inhabited by friendly Ao Naga tribe. The Moatsu Festival is a very famous cultural festival that starts first May and continues till third May. The average temperature of Mokokchung does not exceed 22 degree Celsius in summer.
