Delhi Pollution remains a concern; some respite soon

November 13, 2017 3:16 PM |

Air Pollution continues to remain a major concern between the government as well as public over the national capital.

During the last week, the smog levels continue to be sky high so much so that the visibility was very low across most places.

Friday and Saturday saw marginal relief due to occasional increase in wind speed but that did not persisted for long as again since last two days a thick layer of smog has enveloped Delhi and NCR.

In fact, let’s just talk of yesterday, the entire day was smoggy; people were battling with breathing and vision snags.

Further, we do not expect any respite over the region for another 24 hours as the winds continue to be very light and calm. Let us here from chief meteorologist at Skymet Weather, Mahesh Palawat more on this toxic smog.

There are prospects of improvement around November 15. As first spell of winters rains are likely to show up across northwestern plains including Delhi NCR. With this, the toxic air would start dispersing, paving way for some clean air.

So Delhiites just another 24 hours to battle with this toxic smog, as rains are just on doorsteps. Till then take care and try not to venture out more, stay indoors, stay safe!
