Weather Forecast for Jan 11: Rain in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Fog in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar

To start with the weather of South, a cyclonic circulation is over South Tamil Nadu and adjoining Sri Lanka. In wake of this weather system, light to moderate rains will continue over many parts of Tamil Nadu. Chennai is also expected to record light rains.

Meanwhile, scattered showers are predicted over Kerala and isolated places of South Interior Karnataka. Bengaluru may see one or two short spells of light rain. Rest of South Peninsula will remain dry.

Moving to Central India, the weather will remain dry over the entire region. Nights would be chilly over North Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, days would be comfortable and sunny over Rajasthan, Gujarat, Vidarbha and Marathwada.

Talking about East and Northeast India, dense to very dense fog is likely over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, North Jharkhand, north and central West Bengal. Cold day conditions will persist over Bihar and parts of East Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, moderate to dense fog is expected over parts of Assam and Meghalaya. Cold wave conditions are predicted over parts of Odisha, Jharkhand and isolated places of Uttar Pradesh.

Lastly up in North, a feeble Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir. As this system is weak, so no weather activity is anticipated over the North Indian Hills. Weather will continue to be dry.

Meanwhile, dry and cold winds from northwest will continue to blow over northwestern plains. As these winds are moderate, so the fog intensity will further reduce across the region. While, parts of Northwest Uttar Pradesh is expected to witness moderate to dense fog.
