Weather Forecast for Jan 31: Rains ahead for Odisha, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh

Beginning with North India, where dry weather is continuing over Northern plains after the passage of the Western Disturbance. Now, northwesterly winds are likely to continue over Northern Plains leading to further drop in minimums over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. Day will remain sunny and dry.

Coming on to East India, where one or two places in coastal Odisha might receive light rains due to a Confluence Zone. Weather of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal will remain dry. Minimums of these states may fall by one to two degrees. A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Assam. Due to this, rains will now increase over Assam. Light to moderate rains are likely over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Nagaland. One or two places in Arunachal Pradesh might even receive snowfall.

Talking about Central India where weather of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will remain dry. Cold winds from North will drop the minimum temperatures by one to two degrees. Day will remain sunny and warm.

Lastly in South India, where an anti-cyclone will be seen over West Central Bay of Bengal. Due to this, southerly warm and humid winds are blowing across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Southern parts of Telangana. Day temperatures will remain above normal over most places leading to uneasy and hot weather conditions. Whereas, minimums of North Telangana may fall by one to two degrees.
