A fresh weather system has formed in the Bay of Bengal adjoining Odisha and West Bengal coast. This system has also pulled the eastern arm of the axis of Monsoon trough below which was earlier running across foothills of Himalayas.

These combined weather features are likely to give scattered moderate to heavy rainfall activity over West Bengal, Odisha and adjoining Jharkhand. Northeastern states such as Sikkim, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh would too record heavy rains. Remaining northeastern states would observe moderate rains.
In fact, trough would also give light to moderate rains over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
On the western side, a cyclonic circulation is over South Rajasthan and adjoining Kutch and an off shore trough is seen extending from South Gujarat to Coastal Karnataka. These systems would give fairly widespread rain with isolated heavy spells over South Gujarat, Konkan and Goa and Coastal Karnataka. Mumbai would too continue with moderate to heavy showers.
Remaining states of the southern peninsula such as Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Interior Karnataka and Kerala is expected to witness scattered light to moderate rains.

Up in North, the cyclonic circulation over Punjab and adjoining Pakistan has become less marked. Therefore, activities over the northwestern plains such as Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh would now reduce.
In fact, rains across Himachal, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir will now also go light with few moderate spells.
